Botany

It is a very aromatic shrubby bush of the Canellaceae family.

The leaves are harvested in a way that does not affect regrowth.

History

Native to Madagascar, this plant is found in abundance in the western dry forests or along the northwestern coastal regions below 600 m.

Properties

The Kiotis laboratory has demonstrated, through in vitro scientific tests, the stimulating properties of Cinnamosma Essential Oil on microcirculation by improving the connections between cells for enhanced skin hydration, nutrition and oxygenation. Moreover, this Essential Oil reinforces the elements responsible for the bonds between the different layers of the skin. The skin therefore regains its radiance and the signs of ageing are delayed.

Finally, it is able to limit the growth of the microbial flora for a purifying effect.

Did you know?

Cinnamosma is known in Madagascar as “Mandravasarotra: the plant that keeps evil away”.

It is widely used in traditional Malagasy medicine.
